About Me
I am a freelance outdoor, business, climate, tech and science journalist. As an intensely curious and questioning person, I am always searching to understand topics deeply and fully. In my work, I bring clarity to complicated science and business issues. I aim to tell the unseen side of any story.
I excel at finding interesting angles on popular topics and explaining complex topics clearly with an engaging narrative voice. I have delved into convoluted financial concepts and intricate scientific theories to produce quality content for both industry experts and novices. Using data analytical skills, good old-fashioned interviewing and creative storytelling, my pieces educate as well as entertain.
My work has been published in New Scientist, WIRED, VICE, Techcrunch, Trellis, Outside and The New York Times among many others. I am comfortable editing and ghostwriting. I have created SEO strategies and editorial calendars, and am learning HTML coding, graphic design, and SQL.
